Highlights of Sikkim and Darjeeling

Day 01,Arrival and Transfer to Gangtok: Arrive at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra ( IXB ), our representative will meet you and will be assisting for the transfer to Gangtok – Gangtok the capital of Sikkim Suits all from tranquility to adventure, land of monastery, mystic rituals & festivals at an height of 1670 meters / 5480 feet and is the most visited spot of India - It is one of the most beautiful town with varieties of Rhododendron, Orchids and butterflies ( Nearly 120 kilometers 4 hours drive). Arrive and Check into hotel – Evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall) or local Shopping center. Stay Over Night stay at Gangtok. (Dinner).

Day 02, Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (Full Day): Morning breakfast at hotel, proceed for Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (nearly 40 kilometers and 2 hours) - Tsomgo Lake is situated at an elevation of 3753 meters / 12310 feet - The Lake is oval shaped lake nearly 50 feet deep - Generally covered in snow for most of the year the year – This lake is home to the Brahmini ducks & many migratory birds – Nearby is the sacred Baba Mandir known to be a very holy site for all. Return back to Gangtok. Stay overnight at Gangtok. (Breakfast, Dinner).

Day 03, Gangtok Sightseeing (Half Day):Transfer to PellingMorning after breakfast, Drive for visit to Enchey Monastery, Barthang waterfalls, Nam Nang view point, Ropeway, Flower Show, Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Research Institute of Tibetology & Do Drul Chorten (Stupa).etc. Return Back to hotel. After lunch Drive to Pelling (120 kilometers 4.5 Hours’ drive). Pelling is at an altitude of 6800 feet / 2072 meters. On a clear day guest can get a clear view of Himalayan range with snow-capped mount Pandim, Kumbhakarna, Rathong, Kanchenjunga, Zopuno, Shimbho, Narsing, Sinolchu etc. Stay over Night stay at Pelling. (Breakfast, Dinner).

Day 04, Sightseeing at Pelling (Full Day): Morning after a leisurely breakfast explore Pelling. Places of visit are Rimbi waterfalls, Rimbi Rock Garden, Kechopalri Lake, it is one of the holy Buddhist lake and it is believed that any wish in front of the lake comes true - Myth is that when a leaf falls on the placid clear water surface, it is picked by a bird and thus the water surface is always free of leaves, Kechopalri Monastery, Kanchenjunga water Falls, New Helipad, Rabdense Ruins & Kanchenjunga View tower etc. Evening return back to hotel. Evening free to roam around the helipad or Shopping center – Stay overnight stay at Pelling. (Breakfast, Dinner).

Day 05: Transfer to Darjeeling:After a leisurely breakfast, check out and transfer to Darjeeling (Nearly 110 kilometers 4 hours drive) At an height of 2123 meters / 70001 feet lies the land of breathtaking beauty, sloping tea gardens with spectacular views of the Mount Everest is the Queen of the hills – It is also home to the famous World Heritage train – The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR). Arrive and Check into hotel. Overnight stay at Darjeeling. (Breakfast, Dinner).

Day 06: Darjeeling Sunrise from Tiger Hill & Local Sightseeing (Half Day):Early morning at around 3:45 AM drive to 8000 feet / 2440 meters through primitive forests of oak, magnolia to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather). On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace memorial & Batasia Loop. Return back to hotel. Afternoon enjoy half day city tour includes Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tensing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday), Natural History Museum (Sunday Closed) etc. Return back to hotel. Evening free to stroll around the Mall area or Chowk Bazaar. Overnight stay at Darjeeling. (Breakfast, Dinner).

Day 07: Darjeeling Sunrise from Tiger Hill & Local Sightseeing (Half Day):Morning after a leisurely breakfast, check out and drive to Kalimpong (Nearly 70 kilometers 2.5 hours drive) Kalimpong is situated on the foothills of the Himalayas is a green destination at an altitude of 1243 meters / 4078 feet. It is a historical destination with bustling market, colorful people and offers spectacular views of the Himalayan range. Arrive and check into hotel. After a brief rest proceed for sightseeing tour driving through scenic road to Forest Museum (Closed On Thursday), Deolo Hill, Hanuman Mandir, Dr Graham Homes, Durbin Monastery, Mangaldham, Pine View Nurseries (Cactus Only). Overnight stay at Kalimpong. (Breakfast, Dinner).

Day 08: Departure –Kalimpong to Bagdogra/NJP:Morning breakfast check out and transfer to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (Nearly 100 kilometers 3 hours’ drive) for onwards flight. (Breakfast).
